It's Enough

It starts out as a joke where you are the center of attention. It can be anything, from your recent weight loss/gain to the color you've put in your hair to the new husband/wife you have. Pretty soon, the whole crowd is talking about it. You try to smile, add in some remarks to make them laugh, hoping they'll move on. But they don't. What do you say?
It starts out as a plea of help to get you to marry. You're too old. You need to get a life. Soon, you become everyone's subject to compare their children to. People use you as an example of what not to do. What do you say?
It starts as a little flirtation that blows out of proportion. Soon, all you think about is him/her and not your spouse and family at home. They become an inconvenience while s/he becomes priority. You want out. What do you say?
It starts out as an accident. He was drunk. He didn't mean it. But this time it landed you in the hospital with the loss of the baby. Everyone tells you to be patient. What do you say?
In moments like these, everyone talked about is a victim. People are good at showing you what you want to see. So before you join in on the conversation, take a good look at who you will be talking about. You may be a deliverer if you choose to help her/him say, "It's enough."
