If I thought getting caught sneaking out was bad, I was way wrong. The silent man driving the car made my skin crawl in ways I couldn’t describe. My insides were all jostled up and my brain was trying to figure out why I was being secretly whipped away. Did I win a million bucks? Get real, Peyton. The windows were tinted from the inside and I had no idea where I was going. I wasn’t even allowed to bring anything.      “You’re leaving me?” I asked as I stared at the packed suitcase on the ground. It wasn’t hard to tell he was leaving. It was going to happen sooner or later because our marriage had to come to a point where nothing was going to change. He wasn’t happy. I was bitter. Things were ready for a change. The question was who would be the brave soul to leave? I guess that left me as the coward to face things since I couldn’t get up to go.      My husband of 15 years stared at the ground. Jake Feller, the man who used to make my toes curl just by looking at me was now a faint memory of what used to be. The soft brown curls of his hair that used to be in my fingers were now thinning out and he wasn’t even 40 yet. The truth was in his blue eyes, which at the moment were cast down on the ground.
