Let's hit it!

Hello readers! I apologize for being MIA for a few weeks now. I've been super busy doing my launch for my brand new book, Tomorrow: Tag Kis, which went very well! Thank you so much for coming out to support me. In April, there will be another book signing and I will be handing out details for you to come out to that one, if you are interested. I will be working hard on keeping up with the stories here for you to read, so please be patient as I get back on track. Once again, thank you so much for all of your support!

Tan Line Chapter 5

The rain pattered down the windows as Mailee sat on a chair staring at old photos she'd found in the attic. The weather had made her moody and she'd walked up the stairs to look for something to take her mind off of Randall. But what she found were photos of her grandmother and her when she was young. Now, sprawled on the living room floor, she had tears running down her cheeks. There were pictures of her in pig tails with big, fluffy dresses with her cheeks smeared in chocolate ice cream. She covered her face with her hands and started sobbing. Never did she expected that losing someone was this hard to ger over. Her grandmother had died four years ago and because of Randall's schedule, she wasn't able to attend. She'd been crying in Chicago on an empty bed as Randall was away on business or probably sleeping with his mistress. She wiped her eyes and put the photos back into the box. She took a deep breath and walked to the window. She stared out at the overgrow...

Whispers on the Wind Chapter 1

The mansion was lit up like firework as the night sky twinkled in the dark night. There were white tents set up like little mushrooms across the lawn and loud music of Bach filled the air. Waiters dressed in white and black tux were walking around serving wine and shrimp on plates. Women in gowns that cost heaven and earth were dancing on the floor where the band played. Men were talking in the corners and drinking from the bar. There were rose petals on the tables that were set up in each tent and people were laughing, chattering, and dancing as the night slowly passed in time. The band finished the Bach song and everyone applauded as the dance floor started to break. Sitting on one of the chairs was Pa Nyia Summerton, the daughter of George and Iris, the only daughter, in fact. She was dressed in a sparkling blue gown that showed the curves she owned and her long black hair was up in a bun low on the nape of her neck. She wore bright red lipstick and fake lashes decorated her eye...

Tan Lines Chapter 4

Neng lay on his side watching Mailee sleep beside him. She had her back turned to him, her butterfly tattoo looking straight at him. He smiled and ran a finger down her naked shoulder. The white blanket was wrapped around her waist and under her legs. She was sleeping soundly and he leaned against his hand, smiling at her. Memories of their lovemaking made him stir as he looked at their clothes scattered on the floor; her upturned shoes and his belt lay together in a heated mess. When they arrived at his house, she was kicking and screaming on his shoulder. The moment he set her down on the ground and kissed her, she turned into jello, just like he'd predicted. She was fierce and whatever was eating at her about him, she'd used it to fume her passion. Man, she was a wild cat, turning him on in ways he'd never thought possible. But the moment he took her again, he realized how much he'd truly missed her. Yes, he'd been a jack ass for avoiding her because he was fr...

Tan Lines Chapter 3

Mailee stirred and stretched as her stomach rumbled. She groaned and got up as her eyes caught Neng standing before her. He unlocked the doors and she walked to him as he gestured for her to step out. She did without looking at him and he slammed the doors after her. She turned around and he started walking toward a desk and she followed. The station was quiet today and she wondered why no one was at work. And then she remembered where she was; Walnut Grove, not Chicago. “Are you the only one on duty?” she asked. “I'm not even on duty today.” She frowned. “But...,” Neng smiled as he sat down and pointed to the chair. “You were here. I couldn't just leave you, could I?” She sat down and rubbed her wrists. “I guess not.” He noticed her and reached across the desk. He grabbed her wrist and stared at the welts. Then he looked up at her. “Why didn't you tell me you were hurt?” She pulled her hand back. “It's not your business. Besides, you wer...

A Woman Worth Marrying-End

When she got the horses moving, she looked back and saw that he had stumbled out and was staggering after her. Annabelle let out a high scream of fear and whipped the horses to go faster. When they started running faster, she felt her heart pound against her chest. The road was slippery and it was dark. She couldn’t see where she was going and she screamed when the wheel hit a rock and the carriage tipped over. She landed on her back and felt the rocks probe into her skin. She felt dizzy as she got up and started running when she felt hands grab her hair.             “Come here, you ungrateful whore!” he yelled.                     She screamed as he pulled her toward him. She flung her hands around and it smacked him in the face, but it did nothing to stop him. He grabbed onto her arms and his fingers dug into her skin. She pushed him and...

Tan Lines Chapter 2

Mailee sighed deeply and rubbed her forehead. This was getting nowhere. She glared at him and he was showing no sign of letting her out. He still had that smirk on his face and she wanted to do everything she could to wipe it off. She stepped back from the iron bars and decided that if he wasn't going to give her the benefit of the doubt, then she would show him that the Mailee he knew was no longer the woman she was today. She walked to sit down and hiked up her pant leg to show some of her calf and she saw his eyes darken as he stepped closer to her. Inside, she smiled, and she unbuttoned the first three buttons of her shirt. She made sure it was left open wide enough for him to get a sneek peak of her bright red lacy bra. As she predicted, he swallowed and the conscious her took a bow. “Don't you have any air conditioning in here? It's so hot,” she said in a slow voice. He smiled and she thought she was getting the top of the hand. Until he took her show into...

Tan Lines Chapter 1

Mailee Vang dropped the suitcase on the front porch and stared at the Victorian style house and sighed deeply. Sure enough, the house looked the same as it did ten years ago. The paint was chipped and the windows were dusty, the lawn overgrown, and the shutters broken. But the memory that stung her mind was the same as she imagined her grandmother opening the door and welcoming her home with open arms. She tightened her throat as tears threatened to fall. She managed to push them back and lock them with a key. She took the key from her purse, inserted it, and turned. The creek that gave out gave her a chill as she pushed the door open. The smell of must hit her fast and hard and she coughed, waving her hand in front of her trying to lighten the smell. There were white sheets covering the furniture as she walked in. The house was a two story Victorian style home with hardwood floors throughout and a large fireplace in the living room. It held two couches that were now bathing in whi...
